About Aurora Engagements

Aurora Engagements Limited was founded by Dr Sarah Fitton in 2019.  Aurora Engagements is a small, responsive and flexible consultancy helping clients to develop people-centred solutions to their stakeholder engagement and social value challenges and opportunities within the Built Environment.

Meet Sarah

Sarah is a chartered town planner with over 10 years’ experience in the fields of stakeholder engagement and social value.  She previously worked for a multidisciplinary consultancy working in a number of areas including town planning, transport planning, stakeholder engagement and social value.  Sarah also achieved a PhD from Cambridge University in 2015.  Her research focused on understanding how the social value of infrastructure projects is identified and articulated, using flood alleviation schemes as case studies.  An integral part of the research examined how the stakeholder engagement process can either negatively or positively influence the identification and creation of social value.  Following her PhD Sarah has published a number of peer reviewed journal articles on the subject of infrastructure, stakeholder engagement and social value.

Sarah uses her experience and skills of working in both industry and academia to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
